At long last I’ve updated my profile on LinkedIn… it’s been long time coming and when I looked at it I realise that I last wrote it just as I started working with IN Accountancy on consultancy basis; and that it was therefore very much focused on that consulting business and the coaching practice I had before that, as well as a lot of history from my long and much loved career at adidas.
It was back in 2013 that I first got involved with IN Accountancy. Andy Tyler had set the business up some months before to look after higher rate tax claims and tax returns for clients of his wealth management business, but realised that there was a greater opportunity out there to offer a fantastic service to more deserving people.
Andy approached me as he knew I had previously worked with businesses in the financial sector, helping them with their strategy and sales and marketing implementation. Those of you who know us, know that we are complete opposites in so many ways, but what quickly became apparent, was that we closely shared values on what we felt was important in running a business, and looking after our clients. We also had noticed the same gap in the market (from two completely different directions), in terms of the service offer available to the small to medium sized businesses who need accountancy services and support.
And so IN Accountancy was formed, with one aim in mind… to look after the tax and accounting affairs for business owner-managers, keeping them firmly on the right side of HMRC (and Companies House), while ensuring their tax bill is as low as possible and that they understand the critical numbers in their business, but without overselling them services that they either do not need, or would be better engaging a true expert to look after for them.
So, what we do is look after your accounts and tax requirements, and then we surround ourselves with a number of amazing individuals and companies who can help you in the areas where they are experts. From business coaches to HR advisors, recruitment consultants to financial advisors and insurance brokers, corporate or family lawyers to PR agencies and promotional gifts… if our clients have a need, we pride ourselves in being able to introduce someone we trust to help them fill that gap. And what’s in it for us? Well, we know our clients are being looked after, and our team is free to concentrate on what we are really, really good at… your company or personal accounts and tax affairs…
We’re not guaranteed to be the cheapest, and I can’t say that we will have every answer to every question immediately, but I can guarantee that we will look after you; that you will never miss a deadline; that you will always be able to reach us and get that answer to your question; that we are friendly, approachable, proactive, honest and transparent; and that we will help you understand what you need to know in a jargon free way.
