DVLA is going paperless…

From 8 June 2015 the paper counterpart to the photocard driving licence will be abolished.

Meaning that from this date DVLA will stop issuing the paper counterpart and those that currently exist will no longer be valid, and drivers are advised to safely destroy their paper counterparts.

Why does this matter? Well, if your business conducts checks on driving licences for clients or employees, then you need to be aware of this change and the implications thereof.

Please see the InsideDVLA blog on the Gov.UK website for further information and advice for both businesses and individuals.
