Merry Christmas from everyone at IN Accountancy ❄????????????❄

IN Accountancy Christmas Party

It’s Christmas!! Well nearly! ????????

We have a very special guest in the office today – Scoobie, Olivia’s absolutely gorgeous Labrador puppy, although at six months old he’s not so little!!
Picture attached, and if you do call the office today, you might hear him barking out his orders ????????
If you’d like to see more of Scoobie, you can find him on Instagram with the handle @life_of_scoobie

Then the IN Team had a fabulous do at Manchester Central last Friday – we scrub up pretty well if I say so myself ????

Christmas Parties
Speaking of Christmas Dos, remember that if you have a Limited Company, you can host an annual event for your team and expense up to £150 per person (plus spouse/partner if you are feeling generous and dare ????), which will be treated as allowable for VAT and corporation tax purposes, so if you haven’t booked yours yet, do it now ????

And yes, that applies to you if you’re a one person company too – take your other half out for something special and you don’t even need to tell them it’s a tax deductible perk ????

Trivial Benefits
On that subject, remember that now is a good time to use those ‘trivial benefits’  – Gifts up to the value of no more than £50 are also tax deductible for your employees, provided they are not as a reward for work done or related in any way to their job or performance.
For directors, you’re limited to six of these in any tax year… so get shopping for those £50 vouchers for your favourite store.

Tax Returns
Thank you to everyone who has already sent in their information to allow us to complete and submit their tax returns for the year ended 5 April 2022.
Please may I ask those of you who have not yet done this, to make an effort to get these to us as early as possible in the New Year – there are 146 returns for which we are yet to receive any information at all, which puts immense pressure on the team in January – thank you all in advance ????????????

Christmas cards
As in previous years, we won’t be sending Christmas cards or gifts this year, but have made a donation of £1000 to each of our fabulous charities instead.  These charities are The Hannah Whitley Foundation and St Ann’s Hospice, and I will share some more information about each of these incredible causes in the coming weeks.

Christmas Closure
Please note, the IN Office will be closing over the Christmas period, from 12 o’clock today, Friday 23rd December, reopening at 9am on Tuesday 3rd January.

That’s all for now, but as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to drop us a line or give us a call.

Take care, stay safe, and look after one another.

Very best wishes
Sarah x
