Ukraine Support Drop off Points

Ukraine Support Stockport

I’d been expecting to drop you a line with information about various local business and accounting relating topics this week.

But some things are simply more important!

Thanks to our wonderful Heather at The Funky Monkey Coffee Company in Davenport, we have an opportunity to do what little we can to help and support those refugees, innocent families like yours and mine, fleeing Putin’s unprovoked attack on the Ukraine.

I’ve been felling pretty helpless and haven’t known how best to support, or where best to donate to ensure that our efforts go to those who need it most, so I was grateful to speak with Heather who has a colleague at the Hungarian Ukraine border right now, and who has been liaising with Manchester Polish Centre to understand what is most needed.

We will therefore be bulk buying toiletries to add to packs of clothing, blankets and sleeping bags where possible.

We will also be acting as a drop off point for anyone who can supply any of the following items to support the people of Ukraine:

  • Outdoor coats
  • Men’s& women’s clothing- for outdoors & shoes
  • Children’s clothing, coats and shoes
  • Blankets
  • Sleeping bags
  • Sleeping mats
  • Toiletries men, women, children
  • Sanitary items.

If you have a spare rucksack or sports bag which you can drop your goods in, which can also be donated, that would also be a massive help.

We understand that they are finding that children’s items in particular are quite scarce.

Items can be dropped off at IN Accountancy between 8am and 5pm this week (4pm on Friday), or at Funky Monkey by this Sunday 6/3/2022.

IN Accountancy:

6 Station View, Rhino Court, Hazel Grove, SK7 5ER

The Funky Monkey:

175-177 Bramhall Ln, Davenport, Stockport SK2 6JA

We will then be delivering the goods to the Manchester Polish Centre, or another local support group.

As we hear of more opportunities to help we will share these with you.

That’s all for now, but as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to drop us a line or give us a call.

Take care, stay safe, and look after one another

Sarah x

Are You Struggling to Meet Your Tax Obligations?
